Kettwig Panorama Trail

It lives up to its name: the Kettwiger Panoramasteig offers unique panoramic views and a very special nature experience on a route of around 35 kilometres along the Ruhr; and all this in the middle of the city of Essen.

The landscape along the trail is varied: north of the Ruhr, hikers walk through steep forests, past large fields and along urban housing estates. South of the blue ribbon of the Ruhr, forests alternate with agricultural areas. Along the paths, however, there is not only plenty of greenery and nature for hiking enthusiasts to discover, but also exciting sights. In addition, there are numerous opportunities to stop for refreshments.
